Mr. Alfonso CortinaMr. Alfonso Cortina. Madrid, 1944. Industrial engineer, Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Studies. Currently President of the Repsol YPF Foundation (since October 2004). Executive President of Repsol YPF (June 1996-October 2004) and President of the Board of YPF (June 1999-October 2004). He has occupied different posts as top executive in: the Banco de Vizcaya group, Bancaya Inmobiliaria, Banco Hispano Hipotecario group, Sociedad de Crédito Hipotecario S.A. (Hispano Americano Group), Sociedad de Tasación S.A., Pórtland Valderribas S.A., Cementos Pórtland and President of Inmobiliaria Colonial (January 2005-October 2006). He has been member of the board of BBVA, Banco Central, Banco Zaragozano, FCC, Ferrovial, Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP) and other companies. Mr. Jaime CastellanosMr. Jaime Castellanos is President of Banca Lazard in Spain, President of "Servicios Logísticos y Portuarios", Advisor of Compañía de Bebidas Gaseosas (CASBEGA) and member of the Advisory Board of Rolls Royce in Europe. In 1988 Jaime Castellanos promoted and founded the Grupo Gestión Integral de Inversiones, wealth management company of which he was President. This company was sold to Credit Suisse Group in 1999. Through the 80's, he initiated his relation with the publishing world through Actualidad Económica and Telva, as well as through the acquisition of the daily Marca and the launch of the daily Expansion in 1986 in whose Boards of Directors he participated. At the beginning of the 90's he was nominated Vice-President of the Recoletos group which resulted from the merger of different publishing companies. In 1998 he was named Executive President of this Group. Prior to his activities in the publishing world, Jaime Castellanos founded the company S&C, which later became S&C Willis thus becoming the second insurance broker in the Iberian market. It was sold to the Willis Group on 31.12.2002. He is currently President of Willis for Iberia. Prior to founding S&C, Jaime Castellanos worked in the insurance sector at Sedwick Forbes and Willis Faber in London and at Castellanos y Cía in Bilbao. |
Mr. Ignacio EyriesMr. Ignacio Eyries is currently Managing Director at CASER, the 8th Spanish insurance group with life and non-life insurance premiums of over €1.500m in 2001. Prior to that, he was CEO at Royal & SunAlliance Spain (1999-2001), Managing Director at American Life Insurance Company ALICO (1993-1999) and Project Manager at McKinsey & Co. (1987-1993). Mr. Eyries began his career as Construction Manager at Dragados (1981-1987). Mr. Daniel García-PitaMr. Daniel García-Pita Pemán (Cadiz, 19 January 1947). BA in Law from the Universidad Central de Madrid, Business Studies in the Universidad Central de Madrid and in Cologne University. Lecturer in Commercial Law in the Univerisdad Central de Madrid under Mr. Joaquín Garrigues. He has been an exercising lawyer since 1969 in the practice of J. and A. Garrigues in which he was Managing Partner until 2003. His professional career has focused on Company, Stock Market and M&A law, and in general, all areas of Commercial Law, having published various works and delivered conferences. He is considered "senior-statesman" in Spain for the prestigious Chambers world guide to lawyers. He has been member of the Executive Board of the Madrid Lawyers' Association (1977-80), Head of the Technical Cabinet of the Ministry of Justice (1976-1978) and Head of the Political Cabinet of the President of Congress (1978-1981). In 1980 he was awarded the Cruz de honor de San Raimundo de Peñafort. |
Mr. Javier LoizagaMr. Javier Loizaga is Executive Partner of Mercapital, a leading Spanish Private Equity firm, with over €1.000m under management, which he joined in 1991. Prior to this, Mr Loizaga worked as Investment Manager at the Compagnie de Suez in Paris and previously as a Senior Consultant in the Management Consulting arm of Arthur Andersen in Madrid. He is currently a member of the Board and of the Executive Committee of EVCA, as well as a Chairman of the Investor Relations Committee. Until 2001 he was member of the Board of Spanish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (ASCRI), acting as its Chairman in 1995 and 1996. In addition, Mr.Loizaga is member of the Board of numerous companies in which Mercapital holds a stake. Mr. Javier Loizaga holds an MBA from INSEAD, an M. Mr. César MolinasMr. César Molinas was Head of Global Portfolio Strategy of Merrill Lynch in London (responsible for long and short term portfolio strategies for big institutional clients). Previously he occupied the posts of Head of Fixed Income Strategy for Europe and Chief Economist for Spain. César has occupied various positions in the Spanish Government mainly within the Treasury. From 1991 to 1994 he was Director General of Planning of the Treasury and previously Director of Research and International Relations of the Spanish Securities Commission "CNMV". César was member of the Boards of RENFE (1991-94), Correos (1992-94), Centro de Desarrollo de Tecnología Industrial (CEDETI) (1991-94), Enadimsa (1987-90) and member of the Executive Commission of the Interministerial Commission of Science and Technology (CICYT) (1991-94). He is currently member of the Advisory Council of the Presidency of Metropolitain Transports of Barcelona.
