Aviva Investors – Acquisition of energy-from-waste project in the UK

Aviva Investors has acquired UK energy-from-waste (EfW) project Hooton Bio Power facility, its fourth investment in the EfW and biomass sector. The 25MW facility, which is based in Hooton in Cheshire and is being developed by renewable energy company CoGen and Danish power plant specialist Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor, is expected to generate enough energy to power more than 40,000 homes. It is scheduled for completion in 2021
